There is something wonderous about a hug.
It is a way of saying,”you are special to me.”
A step beyond the boundries of formal convention.

The assurance of a heart touching a heart.
A touch of comfort to calm a grieving heart.
A cheek touching a cheek
with a kiss of greeting.

Whether a man to man
or woman to woman
or man to woman
or woman to man
there are no limits to showing
our love for another.

We are all souls in His creation
with an eternal bond between us all.
The hug is the sign of our sisterhood and brotherhood.

Let it not become forgotten in your life
it is precious honey to the wounds of this life
forever giving
forever loving
in the wonder of love
to us all.

It is a sense of spirit
that I behold in surveying my land.
It is a spirit that I never beheld before.

It is the beauty of the land
stretching out before me
in endless sky
and gentle brezzes
that touch my face.

I am now away from a city
I no longer love
which only offers within itself
heart retching noise
and endless waste.

My new country home is
a place called Eustace, Texas.
It is a sense of peace of spirit
that now abounds
around me each day
upon these twenty-nine acres.

Welcome to East Texas
A preview and slice of heaven
of where my heart now lies.

Somewhere along the way
I lost something very precious.
I am not sure when it happened.

I now find in my being
a major missing piece of my heart.
I have searched for this piece
along my journey.

There are many I loved.
There were many
who claimed to have
loved me.

A harsh reality
now confronts me.
Without Love
in its true sense.
we live in poverty
regardless of our riches.

John J. Rigo’s name on Veterans War Memorial in Mabank, Texas

Commentary for July 4th, 2014:  To my fellow veterans out there, a blessed day to you and all of your loved ones this day.

As a senior, I know there is not unlimited time in my life to be in this world.  I believe we all want to leave some part of us in the world.  Something beside a tomb stone in a forgotten grave yard some place.  Perhaps the kind of grave yard where the tomb stone lays flat on the ground.  A place where machines run across huge expanses of tomb stones while mowing.

I am proud to say, there is a place marked for me.  It is a memorial of beauty in an East Texas town of Mabank, Texas.  The memorial is a salute to perhaps, some of the happinest days of my life.  It was my four years of active duty in the Air Force.  Knowing that this place exists where my name is among those who have served our country with honor, brings me a truly wonderful peace.

There are times lately
that loneliness fills a gaping hole in my being.
I cannot explain it
it is like a rolling wave of tears
attempting to crush me.

I find myself fighting the darkness
that seems to fill the moment.
I am an empty cup seeking
the sweet wine of Love.

Even though I am around those
who speak the words of Love
I do not feel the warmth and joy
of Love as I remember it.

It is at those times
that my mind recalls in vivid detail
joyful times of love in my life.

I am blessed in being able
to recall those memories.
Without them perhaps
I would stop existing.

Last night a dream
entered my sleep.
I do not know who she was.
I was walking alone and she came up
beside me and grabbed my hand.

Her words were simple.
She told me she loved me
and just wanted to be with me.

We stopped walking
she turned toward me
placed her hands around my neck
and kissed me.

That kiss brought back
feelings I do not remember
having in a long, long time.

Sweet Memories
sweet dreams
I await your return
in another day.

Yesterday evening and early this morning I looked for more info on the landmark Supreme Court decision in favor of Hobby Lobby and religious freedom to choose.  There was very little across the media but on a little billboard of a church in Eustace, Texas, within a few miles of our farm and ranch was posted a sign of congratulations.

Across America, the voices of middle America cry out as one in joy at this victory against our “Dictator: President Obama.”  Are our prayers finally answered?  Is it possible we will see the end of the Obama reign by his Impeachment?  Our national prayer days prior to July 4th will sing out in one voice, “Obama Pack Your Bags.”  The American people have had a “Belly full” of you!

Following is a uTube presentation of President Regan, our “Last Great President.”  It is worth your time to click for the download.  Our last great hope to save our Nation from “Total Destruction” over the next two and half years is to “Impeach Obama.”

The Reblog program of WordPress is truly a wonderful tool to the die-hard, Hard-Right Republican that I am. It renders those who share my poetry and commentary blog nearing a true 53,000 hits (not made up hits by a percentage of WordPress members to basically sell their on-line goods) to share many more reasons that Obama needs to be Impeached. Our country will be completedly destroyed if Obama is alllowed to continue as the U.S. President for two and half more years. The true core of our nation in American loving citizens must insure that he does not continue his path of destruction for our Nation.

illegalsmarchA new poll, just published by the Pew Research Center, on American Patriotism, shows some interesting, if not expected results. Rick Moran of americanthinker.com reports that

A new study by the Pew Research Center that breaks down liberals and conservatives into 7 different groups, finds that those who identify as “solid liberals” don’t think much of you, or America, or “honor and duty” as core values.

The finding is contained in Pew’s new “Political Typology” report, which breaks Americans down into seven different categories — rather than the usual three. Among the seven categories, “solid liberals” are the only group in which a majority say they aren’t regularly proud to be Americans.

By contrast, more than seven in 10 “steadfast conservatives” and eight in 10 “business conservatives” say they are generally proud to be Americans.

The poll also shows many liberals don’t liken themselves to your average American. Just…

I deal with extreme pain each day.
I use to curse the pain
I no longer do
but rejoice
in overcoming it.

The pain comes from a fall
over eleven years ago
a fifteen foot fall from a ladder
into concrete
while trimming a tree.

The results were
a fracture in my spinal bone
three disks in my back crushed.

Each waking hour
of every day
is filled with constant pain
many times
to a point of agony.

The pain follows me
to bed at night
ever relentless
constantly disturbing
my sleep.

Each morning as I awake
I rejoice in a new day
to the joy of my Lord‘s creations
and His Love for me.

This body but a temporary home
of the Loving spirit that my God
has created for me.

My thoughts each morning
turn to the Crucifixtion of my Lord.
Surely the total pain
I have felt these eleven years
would never equal the agony
He suffered in just
one day.

Thank you
my Lord and Savior
Jesus Christ
for the blessings of this day.

I know now
a place awaits
for me with You
in eternity.

Walk tenderly on my dreams
for my dreams are me
with my soul exposed.

Judge not
the worth of my hopes
nor the possibility of their reality.

If you are without encouraging words
then seal your lips in speaking of my dreams.

Are we not without hope
when stripped of our dreams and aspirations?

Look to yourself and ask
when were your own dreams scattered against
the rocks of time?

Take not your anger
with yourself
against those
who still have hope.
