The following Reblog comes from one of my favorite followers on my spiritfilled poetry site. It is not a casual read but a review several times of its contents. It renders a world view of what we can expect in 2014 which to say is very scary is an understandment.

Optimism is good and can often preserve sanity. However, excessive optimism led to disappointment in 2013 and worse seems likely in 2014.

There are plenty of clowns, many of them in Washington. They are funny in weird ways but the giggles they produce suggest derision rather than pleasure.

Political correctness = ideologically mandated conformity

A&E’s recent spasm of sanity was most likely due to its recognition of an impending reduction in its all-important bottom line. Accordingly, it decreed a temporary halt to that effort to mandate political correctness. It was only one battle and many more continue. What other forces of political correctness have decreed comparable halts? None of which I am aware. Demands for ideological conformity continue unabated lest the ideologically favored be offended with unpleasant — sometimes far worse than merely unpleasant — consequences.

Multicultural aspects of political correctnes that cover for Islam are the most destructive, current…

Updated April 8th, 2014:  With the activity on this posting on this day, I am sad to report that no women stood up for this Mayor slot or two city council seats.  A well-known female figure on a major board of Gun Barrel City indicated to me, that it was in her plans to run for a city council position in 2015.  Sadly, it is my belief is another Democrat in Sheep’s clothing.  The reason:  When asked what party she was registered with, Democratic or Republican, her response was, “Neither, I vote for the best candidate, regardless of Party.”  This tells me, she is a hidden Democrat or the same, a Liberal.  More on this subject in a forthcoming post.

It is with a sense of humor that I observed new signage throughout Gun Barrel City, Texas.  According to a current article in the Monitor newspaper with our City Manager, Mr. Boren standing before them, these signs are supposed to clean up the code enforcement problem of dealing with excessive signage in the Gun Barrel City, Texas.

These signs in themselves demonstrate the failure of the Gun Barrel City council to demonstrate Leadership abilities under the current city council as well as those in charge of its administration.  Failure to enforce code enforcement requirements in the city shows itself up in many aspects of the city, I for one have personal knowledge of such outright violations of code enforcement as a neighbor to American Legion 310 in Gun Barrel City.

These code enforcement issues lies with three commercial buildings/and or structures built on a residential property adjacent to American Legion 310 directly across the street from my lake front home in Gun Barrel City.  As far back as three years ago, our City Manager was made aware of these violations, promised to move one of the structures and never went forth with his promise.  It like many other code enforcement issues in our city was sweep under the old’ barrel rug.

This coming May of 2014 a great opportunity for change in the city politics of Gun Barrel City presents itself in the opening of the Mayor‘s seat and two city council seats.  Changing the current “Good Ole’ Boy System” to one of three administratively talented woman in the Gun Barrel area, renders our great city an opportunity to bring needed change to Gun Barrel City.  Let us pray that starting in early 2014 three woman of leadership qualities will let themselves be known in running for these seats on the city council of Gun Barrel City, Texas.

My wife is a meticulous housekeeper.  It is a huge challenge at present.  We are blessed in now having three homes and one commercial property to keep up while we are in the process of “down sizing,” and planning for what we hope will be our long-term retirement.

I shot this picture early this morning with my Samsung Smartphone.  It is a picture of the fireplace in our lake home in Gun Barrel City, Texas. I felt a sense of beauty with the lone web extending to the tip of the candle holder.  Even my wife got humor when I pointed it out and did not say, “Oh My God, I need to clean this place.”  We both were thankful for our full and busy life with our “projects” and I especially, with my “Honey-Do List.”  Blessings this day to my WordPress family in their celebration of this coming Thanksgiving holiday.

Once upon a time a long, a long time ago (before Black Friday) Thanksgiving was a celebration of harvest and a time to give thanks. Hence the name thanksgiving.

I don’t think the early pilgrims had a Super Walmart, a Sears or a Best Buy yet somehow they managed. Can you imagine having to grow your own food and prepare it without the help of google? When did they have time? Where did they get their Stove Top stuffing and who plucked the turkeys? How did those crazy pilgrims do it?

I didn’t really know any of those pilgrims but I did see a John Wayne movie once. John knew a pilgrim when he saw one. He seemed to know a lot of pilgrims but that was a long time ago too.John Wayne

I propose we are all pilgrims, each one of us on a journey of sorts. Our own…

The following message was sent early this morning to the head of a well known national Resistance Movement in the United States.  In sharing this short e-mail with you the reader, it is my hope and prayer that the young people of this country will be able to take up the banner of freedom that so many have fought and died for over almost two centuries.  That time has passed for me, a 71 year old man with an aging body, who clings to the few last years he may have:

“What I am grappling with this morning is knowing by entering this arena I will be giving up the lives of both my wife and I.  I fear with a sense of shame and forebearing, I lack the courage to do that.  It seems to me that evil has truly won in taking our country of freedoms from every last one of us.  I truly fear we are now lost without any hope of saving our country.”

This was a beautiful morning of November 14th, 2013 at Northwood Shores in Gun Barrel City, Texas on Cedar Creek lake.  The timeframe for this picture taken with my Smartphone is 9:15 a.m.  The clouds reminded me of cotton fields….perhaps in heaven, that I wished to share with all of you this morning.  Blessings to each and every one of you this blessed morning.
