Romance, in its many forms, is truly a beautiful human thing. I always find myself going back to my old poetry postings on the subject and simply “Recalling” such times from my own life. Best to have Lived, then not Lived at All!

Many write poems to sell. Others to gather a form of following of one’s ego. My only reason in writing my poetry is to share my own personal journey with others. The works are written to hope in writing my journey, others will be able to relate and connect and say in finishing a work, “That is exactly how I feel but could never put to words. I do not feel so alone now.”

It has been a great long weekend starting this past Thursday thru yesterday evening. It was full of hugs from many of my wife’s girlfriends. All of which are wonderful, loving, human beings.
There is something wonderous about a hug.
It is a way of saying,”you are special to me.”
A step beyond the boundries of formal convention.
The assurance of a heart touching a heart.
A touch of comfort to calm a grieving heart.
A cheek touching a cheek
with a kiss of greeting.
Whether a man to man
or woman to woman
or man to woman
or woman to man
there are no limits to showing
our love for another.
We are all souls in His creation
with an eternal bond between us all.
The hug is the sign of our sisterhood and brotherhood.
Let it not become forgotten in your life
it is precious honey to the wounds of this life
forever giving
forever loving
in the wonder of love
to us all.

In reposting my work, my heart always turns back to the poems of the “Master Series,” a group of seven poems demonstrating other aspects of Jesus upon His time on the earth. It is not me that writes but the inspiration of my Lord and Savior that renders these words.[
