I could feel her eyes upon me
from across the room.
I was in awe.
She was flirting with me.
She was in her early twenties.
Her body
Her very beauty
were beyond words.
Her clothes were tight
across her skin amidst
soft flowing hair.
Her breasts stood proudly.
Full of promise and ripeness.
Her shorts tight on her thighs.
My manhood stirred me.
A surprise surge of blood
between my legs.
I tried to look away
but was drawn to her
deep dark eyes of mystery
attempting to bear
my very soul.
She knew I was admiring
her thighs
smooth
strong and tanned
beneath the tight shorts.
She slowly opened
and closed her legs
speaking to me from
a distance of desires
yet unfulfilled.
I could taste her
from across the room.
Swirling heat assaulted
my senses as I attempted
to look away from her.
Upon leaving
She made it a point
to walk by my table
giving me an explosive smile
with a knowing wink.
All I could do
was bow my head
in homage
to a goddess.

“Suppose There Is A Place Like Heaven; Would You Have The Right To Be There?” copyright 2011 John J. Rigo, upcoming poetry book, “Passion Amidst Apathy”

Suppose there is a place like heaven
would you have the right to be there?
Would your life be an example to others?
Would you demonstrate passion
and love to others in your life?
Would you put the happiness of others
above yourself?
Would every secret thought in your heart
be one you would be proud to share with others?
Would you be the kind of human
who would bring pride
and love from your creator?
Suppose there is a place like heaven
would you have the right to be there?
Would you be
an example of Love
Tolerance
and Forgiveness toward others?
Suppose there is a place like heaven
would you have the right to be there?

It is summer. With it comes sandy surfs, sunshine days on the water and just great plain photos of folks enjoying the summer. I felt this Reblog represented all of those in the photos shown in this “Freshly Pressed” winner from the WordPress family of blogs.
Blessings in each of your journey’s this summer,

Since I had to go down to the Old Port on some errands this afternoon I popped over to the Urban Beach to check out the sand sculptures on the Quai de l’Horloge. There are 3 sculptures in total that were done for the Art in the Sand (Art en Sable) competition held between 23rd June and 2nd July. Luckily the sculptures were still in pretty good shape.
I always find it sad that these great works of art in sand are normally eroded so quickly after their creation by the sea. In this case it will likely be a bulldozer or some city employees with shovels. Anyway, glad I was able to capture the grains of sand in their artistic form.
I highly recommend anyone who lives in or visits Montreal to take a Saute Moutons jet boat ride on the rapids. Boats leave from the Quai de…
