The Light of Knowledge Can Overcome Depression.

Today in our American Society the single most deadly disease is Depression.  In over a half century this disease of the mind is still a mystery to the medical profession.  Many famous men and woman through the centuries have had this disease and  overcame it, while others, learned to live with it on a daily basis.

Many times in just having the ability to share your story, is the first step in overcoming this disease.  Keeping this disease at bay can also be accomplished by this approach.  If you are one who is currently dealing with depression, had overcome depression, or currently dealing with it on a day-to-day basis, I wish to share your story on my WordPress Blog site.

Whether you wish to identify yourself or wish not to is an option that is yours.  Send me your stories to share.  In so doing many on the internet that are in a dark place, without seemly the hope of light, will find such light in reading your story.  Whether your sharing is in a poetry format or story format, each will be acceptable for publication on this blog site.

“Many claim to be God-fearing and loving” when truly they are but Evil in the Wolf in Sheep’s Clothing. Rejoice in Evil being overcome in your life by the Love of Jesus and the Father.

In speaking before the crowd this day
the Master spoke these words,
“Rejoice, in that Evil attempts to bring harm to you
for it is a sign that Evil is losing its battle against you.
Rejoice in knowing that with my power
Evil is being overcome in your life.”

In speaking the Master turned toward me
placed His hands upon my head and said,
“I Bless thee with all the glory, strength of the Father
knowing you are doing His work in serving Me.
Know my son that I Love you and Am with you.”

I kiss thee
with my heart
upon my lips.

My breath held
in anticipation
of the moment.

Held so long
afraid to take
that next breath.

for this magic
overtakes me
in this moment
forever locked
in your embrace.

“The Kiss before the Battle with Evil”

Commentary:  It is my belief that all creative writers look for markers along their writing journey that represent improvement in their craft.  This recent written poem is no exception in my almost thirty years of poetry writing.  Within the poem I see my belief in an afterlife,  I see myself as a warrior in defense against Evil representing my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.  What a beautiful image to die and awake in such a place in one’s after life.  Thank you Lord for this life and all lives that will be ahead in eternity.

I awoke
as from a sleep
of death.

Long gentle fingers
were rubbing my forehead
the side of my face
touching my lips.

As my eyes opened
I knew I was no longer
on my prior world of earth.

Before me I beheld
a beautiful maiden
of golden hair
skin of cream and light
eyes of blue/grey and gold.

There was no fear within me.
I was at a place where I was meant to be.
I was home in a castle of my Lord‘s place for me.

My eyes gazed upon my body.
Upon me where plates of armour.
Gold-Silver and various jewels
incrusted upon them.

As the maiden raised my head
I observed the symbols upon my breast-plate.
In the middle in Gold was a Lion.

On each side of it were Dragons
standing with their feet gently
touching the Lion.

Above the Lion
flew a Golden Eagle
with wings of silver.

My armour gleamed
from head to toe
in this beautiful creation.

What battle has my Lord
prepared for me in this place?
Who was this maiden
who touches me with a loving touch?

The maiden spoke,
“My Lord, Evil awaits for battle.
Prepare thyself.”

There are times
the sadness just rolls over my chest.
Crushing ocean waves upon my heart.
Memories of you return.

A first love never dies.
Innocence in love’s discovery
of another.
Pure linen wash were we.

Time is a cruel thing.
Relentless in its forward movement.
Removing the taste of the moment
quickly from our lips.

Life was uncomplicated then.
Two lovers walking hand and hand
to a Walgreen’s breakfast for $1,98 each
after church in downtown Savannah.

The year was 1960
a young man of 18 was I
while you a newly 18
off a recent bus from Happy, Texas.

A story book love story
did we own in our shared love.
A first love never dies
but wings through eternity.

The word is out.  Many buying stocks on margins with borrowed money.  Sound familiar?  Will the side walks be safe from falling bodies in the near future in major cities throughout the United States?

The following Reblog comes from one of my favorite followers on my spiritfilled poetry site. It is not a casual read but a review several times of its contents. It renders a world view of what we can expect in 2014 which to say is very scary is an understandment.

Optimism is good and can often preserve sanity. However, excessive optimism led to disappointment in 2013 and worse seems likely in 2014.

There are plenty of clowns, many of them in Washington. They are funny in weird ways but the giggles they produce suggest derision rather than pleasure.

Political correctness = ideologically mandated conformity

A&E’s recent spasm of sanity was most likely due to its recognition of an impending reduction in its all-important bottom line. Accordingly, it decreed a temporary halt to that effort to mandate political correctness. It was only one battle and many more continue. What other forces of political correctness have decreed comparable halts? None of which I am aware. Demands for ideological conformity continue unabated lest the ideologically favored be offended with unpleasant — sometimes far worse than merely unpleasant — consequences.

Multicultural aspects of political correctnes that cover for Islam are the most destructive, current…
