There is something wonderous about a hug.
It is a way of saying,”you are special to me.”
A step beyond the boundries of formal convention.

The assurance of a heart touching a heart.
A touch of comfort to calm a grieving heart.
A cheek touching a cheek
with a kiss of greeting.

Whether a man to man
or woman to woman
or man to woman
or woman to man
there are no limits to showing
our love for another.

We are all souls in His creation
with an eternal bond between us all.
The hug is the sign of our sisterhood and brotherhood.

Let it not become forgotten in your life
it is precious honey to the wounds of this life
forever giving
forever loving
in the wonder of love
to us all.

The thought came to me this evening.
Why does a woman find it so difficult
to accept a man she claims to love
as he is as a man.

From my experience
it seems the embers of passion
die quickly.

Touch and kisses
turn quickly
to words that lack
encouragement and joy.
Why is that?

Could our eternal love
our soul mate
take many lifetimes
to find?

I am starting to believe
that is so.
Eternity seems so long
to find true love.

Within me lies a grieving heart.
Within my very soul
tears constantly fill
an unforfilled heart.

Turning back in my journey
I recall what it was to be truly loved.
The memories claw at me saying
“Nevermore.”

There is no turning back
of the eternal clock of time.
Ruthlessly the seconds tick by
no regret to be overcome.

A burden of sorrow
to have been loved
but are no longer.

Hell is now.
Is Heaven truly but a dream.
Light has left
my darken world.

There is a game we play with couples.
It is called the “Hurting Game.”
It is a game that can weaken Love
or destroy Love between two people.

In early romances
we seek beautiful
and positive statements
to relate to each other.

It is later that the
“Hurting Game” begins.
It starts out with a small
biting criticism.
The heart is hurt by
the receiver.

Uncared words between two Lovers
can be knife cuts to the very heart.
Generally in these hurts does it become
pay back time with a similar cutting remark
when the occasion arises.

Many times the Game
increases in intensity.
It is then done before
friends and relatives.

Such acts make the hurts
even deeper in their pain.
It is not time to break this circle?

Promise each other this day
that the hurtful words in the future
will only be replaced with words
of Love, Kindness and Praise.

In so doing
will you both find in each other again
the love you both so richly deserve.

I am glad I am here to remember this moment.
There were dreams that I did not want to awake from.
There were days with those that I knew truly loved me.

They were days I did not want to end.
At times in the remembering there are tears.
The tears are not from sadness
but for the happiness of the moment.

Will those dreams ever come again to me?
I think not for the flowers of youth bloom but once in our memories.
Precious memories that we hold on tightly close to our hearts.
Thank you for this day in my gift of rememberance.

Dreams
dreams
I step into the world of my dreams.
Dreams of you.

Your lips touching mine
my arms around your waist.
I am holding you close.

We are breathing as one.
Kissing as one.
Is this real or is it not?

Let me not awake
from this place
where there is only
you and me.

Just
dreaming
dreaming.

It was yesterday at my favorite pizza place in McKinney, Texas
that you came forth and touched me.
There you were with long blond hair in a pony tail.

Tall, beautiful and bright as you approached me.
Your arms reached around my neck
your body pressed close to me
as you kissed my cheek.

Within me something stirred
a regretfully forgotten memory of long ago.
You said your name
as if I should have had immediate recall.
I did not.

My wife related that yes I should remember her
from thirty years ago in my life.
She was a member of my ex-wife’s family.
Still I do not remember her.

What a two-fold Blessing and Curse.
To be touched by Love from our past
and yet not recall such love from another time.

Still this day
I carry the memory
of being touched by Love.
It was truly wonderful.

The gift of memory is the gift I treasure most.
In that memory is memories of the touches of Love in my life.
A kiss of deep felt emotion and love
when not expected.

The touch of your hand behind my neck
gently stroking my neck with your fingertips.
The way you reached for my hand
when we were walking together
a squeeze of hand that said, ” I am here, and I love you.”

The full body hug of your endearing body formed to me
in a “Hello Greeting” when we had been apart for a while.
To touch, to feel, and know one Loves you within the Passion
that only being humans
brings to us.

“The Touches of Love” that makes all words
pale into memory.
