I find myself going back to this post often. It is my inner thought that tells me that from time to time, our Lord renders us insight to our world beyond death.

Depression is still a wide spread sickness of a chemical imbalance of our brains. To this day the medical profession has not found a cure for it. When it reaches the imbalance stage, as much as three years is necessary in treatment to come out of it. If this poem relates many of your own feelings, seek professional help, seek the help of the Lord and prepare for the good fight ahead.

“The Gift of ‘Followers’ on WordPress” copyright 2012 John J. Rigo, Texas’ Commentator

I have been with WordPress with their free blog program for over five years. My current blog, a poetry blog is my second posting with WordPress. To date I have over 27,000 hits and 84 followers.
In the beginning of my relationship with WordPress, I do not recall “Like” buttons or “follower programs.” My interaction consisted of such with comments submitted. I was not aware at the time, that a blog poster on WordPress could limit comments only to those WordPress members with blogs of their own.
With my first poetry blog (which eventually got up to 25,000 posts at the time) I found many comments critical of my Christian religious beliefs. I know I had the ability to delete such comments from being posted on my prior WordPress site, yet the intensity was such that I cancelled that first WordPress site.
On my second bout with WordPress, I cannot relate how wonderful and great my experience has become with WordPress. The “Like” button gives me great satisfaction in knowing immediately which of my posts hit a cord with my readers. My site as well as my two published books from 2005 are non-profit. Any profits from my poetry work go to serve the “Homeless Cause in Texas.”
My greatest gift with WordPress has been my “Followers” to date. The immediate comment responses have become an important part of my day in my interaction with WordPress members. I now think of many of my “Followers” as family members. No where else can anyone find a finer group of members in any social type network. Thank you WordPress for creating such an opportunity to have an important part of my life.

Today the United States of America is on a dangerous path in its future. On our current course we now have a nation where the average ethics, approach to excellence, average intelligence of our citizens is falling to new lows within U.S. society. By the very nature of our immigration programs, have we brought the strength of our country to a new low. A country that allows its borders open to any illegal immigrant looking to drop their child on U.S. soil speaks volumes of the changes that need to be made to our immigration laws. Defining what makes a true U.S. citizen should go beyond dropping a baby on our soil.
Each child that is born on our shores by an illegal in this country represents hundreds of thousands of dollars in “Freebies” in community services, education and food stamps over the lifetime of now, what is now a “Legal, U.S. Citizen Child.” This is a burden that the middle class U.S. Citizen of our country can no longer afford. We, as a country need to redefine what constitutes a legal U.S. Citizen. A child born of a mother who is not a U.S. citizen should not automatically become a U.S. Citizen. In fact the requirement should be for a child to have the status of a U.S. citizen should be that both parents be U.S. citizens at the time of the birth of that child.
